Eskisehir is the city which comes to mind first in Turkish Aviation. In education
platform, Anadolu University, School of Civil Aviation was established in 1986 to
provide qualified staff for the rapidly growing Turkish Aviation Industry. The school
was the first educational and training organization in Turkey to meet all the requirements
of the International Civil Aviation Association’s standards. Additionally in industrial
platform, First Air Force Command Service and Maintenance Center, Turkish Engine
Industry (TEI), and Alp Aviation Industry are the pioneers of Turkish Aviation Industry
in Eskisehir. Turkish Aeronautical Association plants in İnönü are established to
serve amateur aviation facilities. All these institutions together, bring Eskisehir
to front as an Aviation Complex in Turkey. Furthermore, 80 years history of aviation
in Eskisehir presented in Open Aviation Museum in Tepebaşı region.
